We believe everyone's handwriting deserves to live on as a font.
Dearfont started with a simple question: why is it still so hard to turn your own handwriting into a real font? Professional font editors are powerful but take weeks to learn. We wanted something anyone could finish in ten minutes — on a laptop, a tablet or a phone.
Under the hood, our font engine traces every stroke into smooth vector curves, spaces and kerns your letters, rotates alternate versions so repeated letters look natural, and builds fonts that pass the same validation web browsers use.
Alongside the font maker we build free tools for everyone who loves type: a fancy text generator, an AI font identifier, font pairing, a converter and more. They're free, fast and require no sign-up.
