Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Dearfont (dearfont.com), operated by Dearfont ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Dearfont lets you create digital fonts from your own handwriting or drawings, and offers free tools related to typography (for example a fancy text generator, font converter, font identifier and font pairing tool). Some features require an account and some require a paid plan.

We may add, change or remove features. We will not remove access to fonts you have already downloaded.

You must provide accurate information and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to create an account.

You keep all rights to the handwriting, drawings and images you upload or create ("Your Content") and to the fonts generated from them. See our Font License for details.

You grant us a limited license to store, process and display Your Content solely to operate the service — for example to generate your font files and, if you choose to publish a font, to show it on its public page and in our gallery. You can make a font private or delete it at any time.

You must only upload content you have the right to use. Do not create fonts from someone else's handwriting without their permission, and do not use the service to infringe trademarks or copyrights.

Our free tools are provided "as is". Output of the font identifier and AI features may be inaccurate. Unicode "fancy text" may not display on every device or platform. When you upload a font file to a tool (for example the converter or viewer), you confirm that you are allowed to process that file; we process it only to provide the result and do not keep it.

Paid plans, one-time purchases and credit packs are sold through our payment partner, who acts as merchant of record and handles payment processing, invoicing and sales tax/VAT. Prices are shown before purchase.

Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your billing page; you keep access until the end of the paid period. Refunds are handled according to our Refund Policy.

AI credits have no cash value, are non-transferable, and monthly credits do not roll over. Purchased credit packs do not expire while your account exists.

Do not misuse the service: no attempts to disrupt or overload it, reverse engineer it, scrape it at scale, bypass usage limits or paywalls, share accounts to avoid paying, or upload unlawful, hateful or infringing content. We may suspend accounts that violate these rules.

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

You may delete your account at any time from your settings. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (for example ownership, disclaimers and liability limits) survive.

We may update these Terms; material changes will be announced on the site or by email. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept them. Questions: support@dearfont.com.
