Font License

Fonts you create with Dearfont are generated from your own handwriting or drawings. You own them. We claim no ownership of your letterforms or your font files.

On every plan — including Free — you may use your fonts for personal and commercial projects: documents, social media, products, packaging, logos, websites, apps, printing and crafting (e.g. Cricut or Silhouette).

You may install your font on as many devices as you like, embed it in websites (WOFF/WOFF2) and apps, and share it with others. You may also sell or license your font to others.

Fonts exported on the Free plan include a short "Made with Dearfont" note inside the font's description metadata. It does not appear in your text. Pro and Lifetime exports omit it.

Only create fonts from handwriting you have the right to use — your own, or someone else's with their permission. Public fonts you share in our gallery must not contain offensive or infringing content.

Font previews in our free tools (for example font pairing and font styles) use Google Fonts released under the SIL Open Font License, which allows free personal and commercial use. Always check the license of third-party fonts you upload to our converter or viewer.
