Privacy Policy

Dearfont operates Dearfont (dearfont.com) and is responsible for your personal data. Contact: support@dearfont.com.

Account data: your name, email address and — if you sign in with Google or GitHub — your basic profile from that provider. Passwords are stored only as secure hashes.

Content: the drawings, scans and font data you create in the editor. Photos of filled-in templates are processed in your browser; only the extracted characters are saved to your account.

Payment data: handled by our payment partner. We receive your subscription status, order details and customer ID — never your full card number.

Usage data: basic, privacy-friendly product analytics (for example which tools are used and when a font is exported), your IP address for security and rate limiting, and cookies needed for login and language preferences.

Analytics cookies: we use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages people visit and how they find us. In Europe (including the EEA, the UK, Switzerland and Turkey) these cookies are only set after you accept them in the cookie banner; elsewhere analytics runs by default. You can change your choice at any time via "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page, and a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser counts as a decline. Google Analytics never receives your name or email address, and its advertising features are turned off.

Images you upload to the AI font identifier are sent to our AI provider to produce the result and are not stored by us.

To provide and secure the service, generate your fonts, process payments, answer support requests, prevent abuse, and improve the product. If you opted in, we send occasional product news — you can unsubscribe at any time.

Performance of a contract (providing your account and fonts), legitimate interests (security, analytics, product improvement), consent (marketing emails, optional analytics cookies) and legal obligations (tax records).

We share data only with service providers that help us run the service — hosting and database, email delivery, payment processing, analytics and AI processing — under agreements that protect your data. We do not sell your personal data.

We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, your fonts and personal data are deleted, except records we must keep for legal or tax reasons.

Depending on where you live you may access, correct, export or delete your data, object to or restrict processing, and withdraw consent. You can delete your account in Settings or write to support@dearfont.com. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

Our providers may process data outside your country. Where required we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses. We use encryption in transit, hashed passwords and access controls to protect your data.

The service is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
